The Princes Countryside Fund has awarded significant funding to projects across the UK which offer help to struggling farming businesses and to improve the lives of people living and working in the countryside.
Out of 229 applications, 23 projects have been funded, including the Exmoor Hill Farming Network. This is a fantastic achievement for the project with funding secured until January 2018.
Further funding is still needed through sponsorship and other financial backing to support pressing issues relating to low farming incomes and rural isolation. The grant and additional funding will allow the EHFN to continue to offer beneficial training courses, grants, information and opportunities to upland farmers across Exmoor and to support the rural community.
