Support for Farmers

Future Farming Resilience Fund

Between 2021 and 2027 the payments that farmers get (Basic Payment Scheme) will reduce and ultimately stop.  The Government will be supporting farmers by paying them to improve the environment, improvement in health and welfare standards and the reduction  of carbon emissions.

ELMS features 3 levels of support that will pay for various sustainable and eco activities that will see the farmers making wholesale changes to the way that they farm.

The FFR is a free and independent support service available until February 2022 to any farmer or land manager in Devon and Somerset that are currently in receipt of BPS Payments.

The fund offers webinars which will go through the impact that the transition from BPS to ELMS will have on your business.  If required a tailored one to one meeting with a Rural Business Advisor to review how you will be personally affected.   There will also be a series of skills development workshops for anyone on the scheme to attend.
